Product character
Basic Rhodamine B（Basic Violet 10）is soluble in water and alcohol (showing a blue-light red solution with strong fluorescence), easily soluble in cellosolve, and slightly soluble in acetone. In case of concentrated sulfuric acid, it is yellowish brown with strong green fluorescence. After dilution, it turns bright red to bluish red and orange. Its aqueous solution is heated with sodium hydroxide solution to form a rose red fluffy precipitate.
